What You'll do:
  • Workshop Highlights: This class is ideal for craft enthusiasts and those interested in sustainable fashion. It will provide a full education on the processes and science behind natural dyeing. Engage in a 3-4 hour session that combines theoretical knowledge with practical dyeing techniques

  • Discover Dyes: Previous to the lesson, every trainee are encouraged to gather their own natural coloring materials, such as flowers, leaves, and garden waste. This adds an exhilarating element of a treasure hunt to the experience.

  • Detailed Dyeing Techniques: Acquire knowledge about different natural dyes and their origins, the influence of pH levels on dye hues, and the application of mordants to firmly attach these dyes to fabric.

  • Hands-On Dye Preparation: Harness advanced methods to create your own dyes from basic ingredients, such as heat extraction and mordanting, by carefully selecting natural materials and adjusting pH levels to modify colour intensities. 

  • Interactive Dyeing Session: Use the provided 60x60 cm silk scarves for your project, we encourage consumers bring any dye-ready fabric from home to personalize for up cycling. Try with different dyeing techniques such as bundle dyeing, ice dyeing, or immersion dyeing in order to create distinctive patterns.​​
