"Join us for a weaving workshop that is more than just a craft session—it's a step towards sustainable living, wrapped in layers of fun and creativity! "

What You'll Experience:
  • Interactive Learning: We will have a professional weaver (Anne Crowther, who trained at Central Saint Martins in London and graduated with a first class degree in woven textiles in the early 1990s) explain weaving techniques on a large, visible loom, so that everyone may follow along.

  • Hands-On Fun: Children will be provided pre-threaded small looms to use for their own weaving projects, such as producing unique tapestries or scarves. They'll learn firsthand how to turn yarn into woven art, expanding their creativity and understanding of this ancient talent. Adults are not excluded—join in the fun with your child or try your hand at our expert looms, making this a truly dynamic family adventure.

  • Creative Projects:  Regular updates to our selection of half-finished projects allow participants to choose and complete unique creations. For example, transform a discarded badminton racket into a decorative item through weaving, or dress up a boring pen holder with a little outfit. End the day with your very own handcrafted weaving piece!

  • *Educational and Sustainable:  We emphasise the use of natural and recycled yarns, demonstrating the importance of sustainability through practical application. Participants are encouraged to bring yarn from previous sessions to continue their creative journey.

Please Note:

This class is an excellent choice for families looking to engage in a creative activity together.

Ideal for children aged 5 (we recommended) to 12, accompanied by an adult.
